We are the UK's leading manufacturer of Expanded Polystyrene (EPS), operating from a purpose built factory in Bradford, West Yorkshire. With over 30 years experience of supplying EPS for packaging, insulation and construction applications, we pride ourselves on the quality of our products and services provided to our customers.

Job Summary:

We are searching for a dedicated individual who's job role will involve supporting the technical function of Styrene Packaging and Insulation Ltd, therefore affecting and assisting other functions of the businesses daily operations. You will be responsible for assisting in internal project development, to analyse internal development projects and analysing data generated by the business to help promote process improvements and providing technical sales support while collaborating and working tightly with other engineers and managers

Duties:

Develop a strong familiarity with Styrene products to confidently discuss them and their applications with external customers

To support senior technical team members in development projects in a wide range of areas, including conducting internal tests, writing up results of testing, liaising with external companies to progress projects and tracking details of internal projects

To act as a point of escalation for internal and external sales teams for product enquires

Develop the necessary skills required to provide accurate technical information on performance including R-Values, U-Values and compression strength

To review internal tracking spreadsheets interrogating the data available to identify trends and patterns

Be involved with on-site innovation measures, helping carry out process improvement deemed required by the business

To expand construction industry specific vocabulary

To observe and comply with quality, environment, health, and safety procedures

Requirements:

Experience of a customer facing working environment (either technical or non-technical)

Have experience of completing projects within a team to a pre-set deadline

This position will suit someone with more than 2 years experience in a professional engineering role
