Junior Tool Designer

to join our

Process Engineering

department in Gainsborough.

What You'll Do

In this hands-on, career-building role, you'll be at the heart of our engineering workshop, helping design, develop, and support the tools that bring our world-class products to life.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate across teams to understand tooling needs and requirements Create concept designs to aid cross-functional discussions Use

Draftsight

and

Catia V6

to generate 2D drawings and 3D models Produce detailed drawings for assemblies and components to enable manufacture Support tooling trials, procurement and testing phases Raise material requisitions and purchase orders for jig/tool/fixture production

What You'll Bring

Whether you're just starting your engineering career or building on early experience, we're looking for someone with drive, curiosity, and a genuine passion for design and manufacturing.

Skills & Traits:

Level 2 Engineering (or equivalent) and a desire to keep learning Knowledge of manufacturing processes, engineering drawings and tolerances Awareness of BS 8888, GD&T principles and tolerance stack-up assessments Competence in 2D/3D CAD software and Microsoft Office tools Self-motivated, reliable, deadline-driven, and able to work independently Eager to develop -- with support for attending college on day release
