Job Description

As Junior Trader you are responsible for identifying trade business opportunities for building materials across West Africa. Additionally, you will focus on carrying out the full international shipping process of the respective products.
Reporting to the Trading Director, Your responsibilities are outlined below:

Commercial & Trading Support: Responsible for assisting the Trade director in managing the import and export flow of building materials internationally into West Africa
Preparing commercial agreements, while supporting negotiations with suppliers, logistic partners and freight partners across West Africa
Supply Chain & Operations: Coordinating sea and land shipments from production plants to port terminals and final destinations
Liaise with shipping companies, forwarding agents and local transporters
Market Research & Analysis: Responsible for producing marketing intelligence reports for West Africa (imports, consumption, pricing trends)
Ability to analyze client portfolios while identifying potential commercial leads

Global commodity trader specialized in building materials across West AfricaRole will be based in Abidjan, Ivory coast
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Junior Trader preferably from an International commodity sector covering African markets
Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Business Management within reputable universities within Europe is preferred
Previous exposure within the logistics and shipping sector is a plus
Excellent fluency in French and English is mandatory
Self-motivated individual with an ability to excel within challenging environments
Willing to travel internationally and relocate to Ivory Coast
