We are seeking a Junior UX Researcher to support the delivery of user-centered digital experiences through evidence-based insights. You will play a key role in understanding user needs, behaviours, and pain points by conducting research activities such as user interviews, usability testing, and behavioural analysis. Using a range of methodologies and datasets, you will generate audience insights that drive the continuous improvement of our digital platforms.
You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including design, product, engineering, content, and distribution. You will translate research findings into actionable recommendations that align with strategic goals and enhance the overall user experience.
As a Junior UX Researcher, you will contribute to shaping Bauer's digital audio services across nine markets. Our digital products include some of Europe's most prominent radio brands and podcasts, reaching millions of listeners every day.

This role sits within our Consumer Insight (Digital) team, which operates across all nine markets to help shape the future of our digital audio products and offer. We help Bauer Media Audio deliver meaningful, user-centered experiences.
Key accountabilities/Responsibilities...
Plan and execute a range of UX research methods, including user interviews, usability testing, surveys, ethnographic research, and card sorting.
Collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers to define research goals, prioritise key questions, and deliver actionable insights.
Analyse both qualitative and quantitative data to uncover user needs, behaviours, and pain points, translating findings into meaningful, user-centric recommendations.
Synthesise user feedback into clear and impactful insights that inform and guide product and design decisions.
Design and conduct usability tests and experiments to evaluate design concepts, interactive prototypes, and live products.
Stay informed on industry trends, emerging tools, and best practices in UX research and human-centred design.
Act as an advocate for the user throughout the product development lifecycle, promoting a user-focused mindset across teams.
Work closely with the Lead UX Researcher, analytics and data teams to integrate user research with behavioural data to inform product decisions.
Present research findings and insights in a clear, engaging manner to a range of audiences, including designers, product owners, and senior stakeholders.
What we're looking for...
Ideally 2+ years of experience in a UX Researcher or Junior UX Researcher role, preferably within the media, entertainment, or digital content industries.
Proven experience with a range of research methods, including qualitative (e.g. user interviews, ethnographic studies, usability testing) and quantitative (e.g. surveys, data analysis).
Skilled in analysing both qualitative and quantitative data to extract actionable, user-centric insights.
Proficiency with UX research tools and platforms (e.g. UserTesting, Qualtrics, Optimal Workshop, etc.).
Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to clearly present research findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Demonstrated experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams alongside designers, product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
Sound understanding of UX design principles and human-centred design methodologies.
Familiarity with digital content platforms, web and mobile usability best practices, and user behaviour within media and content consumption contexts.
