Role Overview:



As a Junior WordPress Developer at Bold Online Marketing, you'll be an important part of our creative engine, helping to build, maintain and optimise high-performing WordPress websites for a wide range of exciting clients.

Working closely with our design, content and marketing experts, you'll help bring ideas to life and deliver high-quality websites that support our clients' digital goals.

This role is perfect for someone who's passionate about WordPress, eager to learn and ready to grow their skills in a fast-paced, supportive environment where no two days are the same.

Key Responsibilities:



Assist in developing responsive WordPress websites from scratch or from templates. Customise themes and plugins based on client and project requirements. Collaborate with the design team to translate mockups into functional websites. Support QA testing and bug fixing across various browsers and devices. Troubleshoot issues and perform routine updates, plugin maintenance and content edits for client websites. Optimise sites for speed, mobile responsiveness, SEO and usability. Participate in team and client meetings and communicate project progress effectively.

Required Skills & Qualifications:



1-2 years of experience in WordPress development (agency internship or freelance experience a plus). Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and basic JavaScript. Working knowledge of PHP and WordPress functions. Experience with page builders such as Elementor, Gutenberg or WPBakery. Experience with custom theme and plugin development. Understanding of responsive design and browser compatibility. Familiarity with Wordpress coding standards and best practices. Basic knowledge of SEO principles and site performance optimisation.

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have):



Experience working in a digital or creative agency environment. WooCommerce experience. Knowledge of ACF (Advanced Custom Fields), CPTs, or custom taxonomies. Familiarity with cPanel, FTP, and basic DNS/domain tasks. Interest in UI/UX principles.
