Overview

We are seeking a highly trained and vigilant K-9 Security Officer to join our security team. This role involves leveraging specialized canine units to ensure the safety and security of our premises, personnel, and assets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security operations, law enforcement, or military service, combined with experience working with K-9 teams. Duties

Conduct regular patrols of designated areas using K-9 units to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security threats. Perform surveillance activities utilizing CCTV systems and other monitoring equipment to oversee premises effectively. Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or suspicious activities, coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services as needed. Assist in loss prevention efforts by monitoring retail or warehouse environments for theft or vandalism. Provide first aid and CPR when necessary, ensuring safety and well-being of personnel and visitors. Manage conflict situations professionally, de-escalating disputes and maintaining order within the facility. Maintain detailed logs of patrols, incidents, and observations for reporting purposes. Conduct training exercises for team members on security procedures and canine handling techniques.

Experience

Prior experience in law enforcement, military service, or private security is highly desirable. Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; candidates with these qualifications will be prioritized. Demonstrated proficiency in surveillance techniques, including CCTV operation and monitoring. Experience working with K-9 units in a security context is a significant advantage. Strong conflict management skills with the ability to handle tense situations calmly and effectively. Knowledge of loss prevention strategies and familiarity with security systems such as CCTV is beneficial. Candidates should possess excellent observational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. This role is vital in safeguarding our environment through dedicated patrols, advanced surveillance methods, and effective canine partnerships. Pay: 12.21-20.93 per hour
