Hours: Part-Time (Weekends only) - Saturday 0800 - 1800, Sunday 0800 - 1400

Th Kennel Assistant role involves physical tasks such as being on your feet for extended periods, kneeling, lifting, and handling animals of various sizes. Reasonable adjustments will be considered to support applicants with disabilities or specific needs.

About the Role - Kennel Assistant

As a

Kennel Assistant

, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the

health, happiness, and wellbeing

of the animals in our care. Your responsibilities will include:


Cleaning kennels, cattery units, and play areas to our high standards


Feeding, grooming, and providing daily enrichment for our furry guests


Exercise, playtime, and one-on-one interaction - from fun activities to comforting cuddles


A Kennel Assistance is

hands-on

and

far from glamorous

(think muddy paws, pet hair, and plenty of cleaning!),

but the rewards of building bonds with the animals make it all worthwhile!

Qualifications

Essential Criteria:

Eligibility to work in the UK with a 5-year checkable history Demonstrable experience working with animals and comfortable handling dogs and cats of all breeds and sizes Ability to follow standard operating procedures to ensure the highest level of care A reliable team player with a proactive attitude Excellent communication skills, able to interact professionally with customers and colleagues at all levels Presentable and professional - smart, clean, and tidy in appearance Polite, approachable, and customer-focused, providing excellent service to clients Committed to continuous learning and self-development, helping us maintain our reputation for excellence

Desirable Criteria:

Previous experience in animal welfare Canine/feline first aid certification Evidence of further education in a related field
