Key Account Manager

, you'll play a key role in strengthening our presence across the

West Midlands and South-West

The Role



This is a fast-paced, commercially focused sales role centred around

the core mission of: bringing sales over the line

. You'll be responsible for converting warm leads into committed customers, as well as exploring upselling opportunities within our existing client base. With a deep understanding of Clayton Glass' product range, you'll tap into customer needs,

generate profitable sales conversations

, and drive consistent growth across your region.

Key Responsibilities:



Lead Generation & Conversion:

Proactively follow up on sales leads and convert them into new business opportunities.

Upselling:

Identify opportunities within current accounts to promote additional products from our range.

Regional Sales Focus:

Drive business growth specifically across the West Midlands and Southwest of England.

Relationship Management:

Develop strong, long-term relationships with clients built on trust, delivery, and consistency.

Product Knowledge:

Stay up to date with the full Clayton Glass product range and understand how to position offerings to maximise value.

Negotiation & Closing:

Use insight, persuasion, and integrity to bring deals to completion and generate profit.

Performance Monitoring:

Maintain accurate records of sales activity and use data to shape approach and priorities.

Essential Criteria:



Sales Experience

:

Minimum 3 years of experience

in a sales, account management, or business development role.

Customer Relationship Building

: Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to develop rapport and maintain trust.

Lead Conversion

: A demonstrable track record of following up on leads and converting them into paying customers.

Upselling & Cross-Selling

: Experience in identifying additional sales opportunities within an existing customer base.

Negotiation Skills

: Ability to close deals with confidence, clarity, and commercial awareness.

Product Presentation

: Comfortable explaining product features and benefits to clients and aligning solutions with their needs.

Commercial Focus

: Results-driven mindset with a passion for driving profit through quality service.

Integrity & Delivery

: A reputation for doing what you say you'll do and delivering to a high standard every time.

CRM Familiarity

: Experience working with customer databases or lead tracking systems.

UK Driving Licence

: Required for regular travel across your region and occasional visits to head office.

Desirable (Non-Essential) Criteria:



Experience in Glass or Manufacturing

: Knowledge of IGUs or a similar product-based B2B industry.

Working Hours / Shift Pattern

: 37.5hrs/week, 2.5hrs unpaid break/week. Monday to Friday

Salary

:

30K - 40K

, dependent on experience,
