We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Play Worker to support children in a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children. This role involves organising play activities, supervising children, and fostering a positive atmosphere that encourages development and socialisation. The Play Worker will play a vital part in creating an enjoyable experience for children while ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Duties
Supervise and engage children during playtime, ensuring their safety and enjoyment
Organise age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, and physical development
Support children's individual needs through personalised attention and care
Lead group activities, encouraging participation and teamwork among children
Maintain a clean and organised play area, adhering to health and safety regulations
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a cohesive environment
Assist with daily routines such as snack times or rest periods when required
Drive or accompany children on outings or trips as necessary, ensuring their safety throughout
Experience
Previous experience working with children in childcare, nursery, or early childhood education settings is highly desirable
Demonstrated management or leadership skills within a childcare environment
Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in childcare
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Experience with organising activities that promote learning through play
Valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving outings or transportation responsibilities
