Job Description

Raeburn Brick Ltd. is looking for a kiln burner to join our experienced team in Scotland's only clay brick manufacturing site. This is a key operational role in our production process, ensuring the kiln runs efficiently, safely, and in line with quality standards.

Role Overview

As a kiln burner, you'll be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the kiln, monitoring firing conditions, and adjusting settings to maintain optimal brick quality. This role is suited to individuals who are technically minded, reliable, and capable of working independently with a strong awareness of safety and production procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Operate and monitor kiln equipment and controls Adjust firing settings to maintain consistent product quality. record kiln temperatures, fuel usage, and firing times Carry out regular inspections and basic maintenance Work closely with the production and quality teams Follow all site safety procedures and operational protocols
What we're looking for

Previous experience in a kiln- or furnace-related role. (preferred but not essential) Strong awareness of health and safety practices Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail Willingness to work shifts and weekends Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Working Pattern

12-hour shifts on a 4-on-4-off rotation Includes some weekend work
Full training will be provided for the right candidate.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 28,080.00 per year
