About the role:



This is an exciting opportunity to join DBD's Installation team as an Installation Assistant. You will be working closely with a Qualified Installer, learning to fit a range of kitchen appliances in new build homes, ensuring site managers receive an excellent service from start-to-finish.

DBD have a great success rate of promoting from within, so this role would be ideal for an individual who wants to learn a trade and become a Qualified Installer.

A full UK manual driving licence is required to drive our DBD vans to and from sites, and a CSCS card is preferable but not essential.

What you'll do:



Support the Installer with necessary checks prior to leaving DBD, including checking appliances against the manifests, ensuring correct PPE is ready, all necessary paperwork is ready and any other relevant items are in place. Assist installer with driving to and from site where requested. Carry out pre-installation checks on plots to ensure everything is prepared before taking appliances to the plot; including live services and kitchens completed. Assist installer with installation of appliances into kitchen furniture. Ensure all of your work is carried out as per training and appliance installation manual. Follow instructions of installer at all times ensuring any other duties are carried out diligently. Ensure plots are left in the same condition they were found prior to leaving site. Supporting installer with any administration required including signing of all necessary paperwork.

Resilient in the face of adversity - able to overcome issues in a constructive manner. Literate with a good knowledge of English both verbal and written. Full driving license (3 points max) essential CSCS card preferable but not essential.
