We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen staff with various tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of food preparation and service. Responsibilities

Assist in meal preparation and food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards. Support chefs in cooking and plating dishes as required. Help with catering events by preparing food items and assisting with service. Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and maintained properly. Assist in inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages. Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred, including roles related to catering or restaurant experience. Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations is essential. Culinary experience or relevant qualifications would be advantageous but not mandatory. A strong willingness to learn and develop cooking skills is highly valued. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy setting.
