Role Overview:



We are looking for a dedicated and efficient Kitchen Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will help prepare and serve a variety of menu items, including pizzas, hot dogs, nachos, chips, burgers etc... The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:



Food Preparation:

Assist in the preparation and assembly of pizzas, hot dogs, nachos, chips, burgers etc.. Following standard recipes and portion control guidelines.

Cooking and Assembly:

Help with cooking and assembling menu items, ensuring that food is cooked to the correct specifications and served at the right temperature.

Quality Control:

Ensure that all food served meets the highest standards of quality, taste, and presentation.

Stock Management:

Monitor ingredient levels and notify the kitchen supervisor when supplies are running low. Assist with receiving deliveries and storing stock efficiently.

Kitchen Cleanliness:

Maintain a clean and organized work area, including prepping stations, cooking surfaces, and kitchen equipment. Adhere to strict hygiene and health and safety standards.

Weekly Kitchen Deep Clean:

Participate in a weekly team responsibility of deep cleaning the entire kitchen area, including all equipment, surfaces, and storage areas, ensuring the kitchen meets high cleanliness standards.

Food Safety Compliance:

Follow food safety guidelines, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures.

Assisting Kitchen Staff:

Work closely with chefs and other kitchen staff to support the smooth running of kitchen operations. Assist in any other tasks as directed by the Kitchen Manager or Supervisor.

Customer Service:

Occasionally assist in serving food to customers when necessary and ensure customer satisfaction by providing accurate and timely orders.

Prep and Close Down:

Assist with opening and closing procedures, including prepping ingredients for the next shift and ensuring the kitchen is cleaned and sanitized at the end of the day.

Skills and Qualifications:



Previous kitchen or food preparation experience is preferred, but not essential. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality food preparation. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.80 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 16 per week
