Overview

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Kitchen Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will support the culinary team in meal preparation and food safety, contributing to the smooth operation of our establishment.

Duties

Assist with food preparation and meal assembly in accordance with recipes and standards Support catering services by preparing ingredients and plating dishes Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen workstations and utensils Ensure food safety protocols are adhered to at all times Help with serving food to customers or guests as required Assist with stock rotation and inventory checks of ingredients and supplies Support the team during busy periods by performing various kitchen tasks as needed

Qualifications

Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is desirable but not essential Knowledge of food preparation, meal assembly, and basic culinary techniques Understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Good organisational skills and attention to detail Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude Willingness to learn new skills and take on varied responsibilities

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.60 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
