Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our kitchen team in delivering high-quality food services. This role involves assisting with meal preparation, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and ensuring food safety standards are met. Kitchen experience is essential. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, a keen eye for detail and a proactive attitude to support smooth kitchen operations as a team.

Duties

Assist in food preparation and meal assembly in accordance with established recipes and standards Support the team during opening houre, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of meals Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen workspaces, utensils, and equipment Follow food safety protocols to ensure hygiene standards are upheld at all times Help with inventory management by organising supplies and notifying supervisors of stock levels Support in basic cooking tasks under supervision, gaining culinary experience and skills Ensure all health and safety regulations are adhered to during daily operations Serve food to customers or staff as required, maintaining professionalism and courtesy

Experience

Previous experience in a catering or restaurant environment is essential Familiarity with food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen safety practices is advantageous Experience in meal preparation and food safety procedures will be beneficial for the role A proactive approach to learning new skills within a busy kitchen setting is preferred
The role requires enthusiasm, organisation, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and customer service.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: 12.21-12.50 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 32.5 per week
