Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen staff with various tasks, ensuring that our food preparation and service runs smoothly.

Responsibilities

Assist in meal preparation and food preparation tasks, including washing, chopping, and measuring ingredients. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the kitchen. Help with the setup and breakdown of catering events as required. Support cooks and chefs by providing them with necessary ingredients and tools. Keep the kitchen area clean and organised, including washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment. Assist with inventory management by restocking supplies as needed. Follow instructions from senior kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow.

Experience

Previous experience in a culinary or catering environment is preferred but not essential. Familiarity with food safety regulations and practices is an advantage. A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new skills in meal preparation and food preparation. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy kitchen setting. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are essential for maintaining cleanliness and order in the kitchen.
