Job Description

Purpose of the Job:

To assist in providing a range of healthy, well-balanced meals on a day-to-day basis for all children. To help with the housekeeping of the kitchen especially after mealtimes.

Personal Specification:

Food Hygiene essential.

Catering qualification desirable.

Able to manage time and organise duties accordingly.

Good communication skills.

Understand various dietary needs and how to cater for them.

Main Duties:

Follow all company's policies and procedures including food hygiene and health and safety.

Keep all kitchen records up to date and hand them to the manager on a weekly basis.

Comply with all COSHH and RIDDOR policies.

Ensure a high standard of cleanliness is maintained within the kitchen.

Sanitize the kitchen thoroughly on a daily/ weekly basis and follow cleaning checklist provided.

Ensure rotation of products in line with dates.

Ensuring any opened products are clearly labeled with an open and use by date.

Ensure PPE is worn at all times and cleaned accordingly.

Perform and meet targets set by management and director.

Work with external agencies when required.

Work any overtime required due to needs of the business.

Cook for any functions.

Attend staff meeting.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 27.5 per week

Work Location: In person
