We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. Responsibilities
Assist in meal preparation and cooking under the guidance of chefs and cooks.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes and utensils.
Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are adhered to at all times.
Help with the preparation of ingredients, including chopping vegetables and measuring ingredients.
Support catering events by assisting with food setup and service as required.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively while following operational procedures.
Assist with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a restaurant or catering environment is advantageous but not essential.
Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary skills is preferred.
Understanding of food safety practices and regulations.
Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
