We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. Duties

Assist chefs with food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards. Help with the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations during service. Support in the plating of dishes and ensure timely delivery to service areas. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety protocols. Assist in inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages. Participate in cleaning duties, including washing dishes, pots, and utensils. Collaborate with team members to ensure a harmonious working environment.

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen setting, such as catering or restaurant work, is advantageous but not essential. A basic understanding of food safety practices is preferred. A passion for cooking and a willingness to learn new culinary techniques are essential qualities. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team are crucial for success in this role. Flexibility to adapt to various tasks as needed within the kitchen environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: 12.21-13.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 25 per week
