Duties

Assist with meal preparation and food preparation tasks, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation. Support chefs in cooking and plating dishes according to established recipes and specifications. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times. Help with the setup and serving of food during events or busy service periods. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations. Participate in inventory management by assisting with stock rotation and reporting any shortages.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred, including restaurant or catering experience. Basic knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced setting. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail. A willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities as needed. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
