We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. Responsibilities
Assist in food preparation tasks including chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients for meal preparation.
Help cooks and chefs with cooking tasks as needed, ensuring timely service of meals.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen area, including washing dishes and cleaning surfaces.
Follow food safety guidelines to ensure all food is handled safely and hygienically.
Support catering events by preparing ingredients and assembling dishes as directed.
Assist with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages to the kitchen supervisor.
Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of kitchen operations.
Requirements
Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is key.
Basic knowledge of food safety practices and meal preparation techniques.
Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in all tasks performed.
