Kitchen Assistant

to join our production team.

This is an

entry-level role

, ideal for someone keen to work in a professional food environment and learn core kitchen and bakery skills from the ground up.

The Role

5 days per week

Early mornings - 5:00am start

Weekends essential

Based at our East Linton Bakery
You will work closely with our bakers and kitchen team, supporting daily production and ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly, safely, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

Weighing and preparing ingredients accurately for recipes Sandwich, bagel, and grilled cheese preparation Soup preparation and basic savoury prep Sausage roll and pastry filling preparation Receiving and checking deliveries Stock rotation and date labelling (FIFO) Maintaining excellent food hygiene standards Daily cleaning duties and scheduled weekly deep cleans Supporting the wider team as required during busy periods
What We're Looking For

A strong work ethic and positive attitude Ability to work early mornings and weekends reliably Good attention to detail and willingness to learn Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Basic food prep experience is helpful but

not essential

Level 2 Food Hygiene preferred (or willingness to complete)
This role would suit someone looking to gain experience in a professional kitchen, with

scope to progress

into more senior kitchen or bakery roles over time.
