Location: Bonnington House Nursery

Position: Kitchen Assistant

Hours: 9:30 AM - 2:30 PM, Part-Time (Monday to Friday)

Start Date: ASAP

Hourly rate: 12.05 per hour

Are you friendly, reliable, and enjoy working in a busy, child-focused environment? Bonnington House Nursery is looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join our warm and welcoming team! The Nursery is located in Trinity, Edinburgh, and offers full day care for up to 105 children from 3 months to 5 years.

About the Role:

As our Kitchen Assistant, you'll play a key role in helping us provide meals and maintain a clean, safe kitchen environment. This is a part-time position, ideal for someone looking for daytime hours during the week.

Key Responsibilities:

Assisting with the preparation of snacks and meals

Washing dishes and maintaining a clean, hygienic kitchen

Supporting the Nursery Cook with basic food prep as needed

Keeping kitchen surfaces and equipment clean and sanitised

Helping to receive and store deliveries safely and correctly

Ensuring all food safety and hygiene regulations are followed

Assisting with the setup and clearing away of snack and mealtimes

Communicating effectively with nursery staff and management
