Job Summary

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of meals and ingredients, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. Support chefs with cooking tasks, including chopping, mixing, and cooking various dishes as required. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste properly. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times. Help with serving meals during busy periods and assist in catering events as needed. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations and timely meal service.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred, with a background in catering or restaurant experience being highly desirable. Basic culinary skills and knowledge of food preparation techniques are essential. Understanding of food safety practices and regulations is required. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team setting. A willingness to learn new skills and adapt to various kitchen tasks as needed.
