Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our team. Duties

Assist with meal preparation and food presentation under the supervision of senior kitchen staff Support catering operations for events and daily service, ensuring timely delivery of meals Help with food safety procedures, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation of ingredients and equipment Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping, and organising supplies for cooking Maintain cleanliness of kitchen work areas, utensils, and appliances to uphold hygiene standards Serve food to customers or guests in a courteous and professional manner Assist with inventory management by organising stock and notifying supervisors of low supplies Support the team during busy periods by performing various kitchen tasks as needed

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or catering environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided Knowledge of food safety standards and practices is advantageous Basic cooking skills and familiarity with meal preparation techniques Good organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety standards Excellent communication skills and a friendly attitude towards colleagues and customers Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings if required

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.21 per hour
