In this vital role, you will support the daily operations of our kitchen by assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a smooth flow . Duties

Assist with food preparation under the supervision of the Manager . Handle a variety of kitchen tasks including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients with precision using proper knife skills. Support preparation products . Maintain cleanliness and organisation . Properly handle and store food items according to health and safety guidelines to prevent contamination. Assist in serving customers at busy times. Follow all food handling procedures diligently to uphold hygiene standards and comply with health regulations. Support inventory management by restocking supplies, checking best before dates, and notifying supervisors of shortages or issues. Participate in cleaning schedules for kitchen equipment, floors, and storage areas to maintain a safe working environment. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations during busy periods.

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation, or a related role in a catering environment. Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene regulations within the food industry. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and cleanliness. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality standards. Good communication skills for effective teamwork and customer service when needed.

Pay: 10.00-12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 10.00 - 16.00 per week
