Kitchen Assistant - New Inn Folkingham

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in food, a positive attitude, and the ability to support our chefs in delivering high-quality dishes. You will play an important role in maintaining a smooth-running kitchen, assisting with food preparation, and ensuring high standards of cleanliness and organisation. You will work closely with our friendly team of chefs in a calm, welcoming environment.

You'll also assist with seasonal menu planning by preparing ingredients and ensuring the kitchen is well organised for upcoming events.

Key Responsibilities

??Assist chefs with basic food preparation, cooking tasks, and plating dishes.

??Help prepare ingredients and ensure stations are stocked and ready for service.

??Maintain excellent standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety.

?? Help keep the kitchen clean, organised, and running efficiently.

??Support the team by completing tasks such as washing dishes, storing deliveries, and managing waste.

Work Environment & Schedule

Experience working in a kitchen is preferred.

Shifts may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Fast-paced kitchen environment with standing for long periods.
