Duties

Assist with food preparation by chopping, peeling, and organizing ingredients according to recipes and standards Support cooking activities under supervision, ensuring quality and presentation are maintained Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment to uphold food safety standards Handle food items safely during storage, handling, and transportation to prevent contamination Prepare meal components in line with menu specifications for efficient service during busy hours Support catering events by setting up stations, serving dishes, and managing replenishments as needed Follow all health and safety regulations diligently to ensure a safe working environment for everyone

Skills

Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and food preparation methods Excellent knife skills for precise cutting, slicing, and dicing of ingredients Experience in meal preparation and food handling within a restaurant or catering setting Familiarity with food safety protocols and hygiene standards in the food industry Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment with attention to detail Good understanding of food service operations and customer-focused service skills Prior kitchen or restaurant experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential
