Kitchen Assistant

Part-Time (Zero Hour Contract)

We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Dalmeny Park House Hotel. Although part-time (0 hours) initally, progression will be available for right candidate. This role involves working closely with our chefs to help prepare high-quality food for our customers. You will be responsible for preparing ingredients, supporting service, and assisting with a variety of kitchen tasks.

What You'll Be Doing:

Preparing ingredients and assisting with basic food prep for service. Keeping the kitchen clean by sterilising surfaces, cleaning dishes, loading and unloading dishwasher, and maintaining cooking equipment. Organising and maintaining food storage areas, ensuring all deliveries are received and stored properly. Helping the team ensure that the kitchen is well-prepped, clean, and ready for the next service. Assisting with waste disposal and maintaining cleanliness in line with food safety standards.

What We're Looking For:

Previous kitchen experience is beneficial but not essential. A passion for cooking or a desire to develop culinary skills. A strong work ethic and willingness to learn. Good communication skills and the ability to follow direction. Flexibility and teamwork. Flexibility for working hours, including weekends and holidays.
