We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality meals and maintaining a clean, organised kitchen environment. The Kitchen Assistant will play a vital part in meal preparation, food safety compliance, and ensuring smooth kitchen operations.

Responsibilities

Assist with meal preparation and food assembly in accordance with established recipes and standards Support the catering team during events and daily service, ensuring timely delivery of meals Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen areas, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment Help with basic food safety procedures to comply with health regulations Prepare ingredients for cooking, including peeling, chopping, and portioning Serve food to guests or staff as directed by senior team members Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure efficient kitchen operation Assist in receiving deliveries and organising stock in storage areas

Qualifications

Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is desirable but not essential Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices Basic culinary skills such as meal preparation and food handling Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining attention to detail Good organisational skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately Friendly demeanour with excellent communication skills Flexibility to work shifts as required, including weekends if necessary

Pay: From 12.21 per hour
