We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality meals and maintaining a clean, organised kitchen environment. Duties

Assist with food preparation and meal assembly in accordance with health and safety guidelines Support chefs and kitchen staff with basic cooking tasks and ingredient handling Maintain cleanliness of work surfaces, utensils, and equipment to uphold hygiene standards Organise ingredients and supplies to ensure efficient workflow during busy periods Help with serving food to customers or guests as required Follow all food safety protocols and proper storage procedures for ingredients and prepared dishes Assist in setting up and clearing down the kitchen area after service shifts Support catering events by preparing ingredients and assisting with event-specific requirements

Qualifications

Previous experience in catering, restaurant work, or food service is advantageous but not essential; willingness to learn is key Basic cooking skills and familiarity with meal preparation techniques Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices Experience in food preparation, kitchen operations, or culinary roles is desirable Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure Excellent teamwork and communication skills A positive attitude towards customer service and supporting team members
