Duties

Assist in the preparation of meals, ensuring all ingredients are ready for cooking. Support chefs with food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitising surfaces. Ensure compliance with food safety standards and hygiene regulations at all times. Help with catering events by preparing and serving food as required. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, following all operational guidelines. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service periods.

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen environment, preferably within catering or restaurant settings. Basic culinary skills with an understanding of meal preparation techniques. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail. A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills in the culinary field. Experience in serving food and assisting with customer interactions is advantageous.
