Job Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen staff by assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring that food safety standards are adhered to. This position is perfect for individuals who are passionate about cooking and wish to gain valuable experience in a restaurant or catering environment.

Responsibilities



Assist in the preparation of meals and ingredients, ensuring that all food items are prepared according to recipes and standards. Help maintain a clean and organised kitchen by washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste properly. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, including proper storage of food items and maintaining hygiene standards. Assist with catering events as needed, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality meals. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

Requirements



Previous experience in food preparation or a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment is advantageous but not essential. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential. Training can be provided if needed. A passion for culinary arts and willingness to learn from experienced cooks and chefs. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
