We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. This role is essential in supporting the kitchen operations, ensuring that meal preparation runs smoothly and efficiently. Duties
Assist in meal preparation and cooking under the guidance of chefs.
Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, and measuring as required.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
Help with catering events by setting up and breaking down food stations.
Support the team in various kitchen tasks, including dishwashing and equipment maintenance.
Follow recipes and instructions accurately to ensure consistency in food quality.
Assist with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a restaurant or catering environment is preferred but not essential.
Basic knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
A willingness to learn and develop culinary skills further.
