Support chefs and kitchen staff by handling food handling tasks with attention to safety standards. Prepare ingredients by chopping, slicing, and portioning under supervision to facilitate smooth cooking processes. Help with inventory management by restocking supplies and notifying supervisors of low stock levels. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures at all times. Contribute to a positive team environment by communicating effectively and supporting colleagues during busy service periods.

Requirements

Previous experience in a food industry setting or restaurant environment is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is key! Strong knife skills and knowledge of basic cooking techniques are highly desirable. Familiarity with food preparation, food service, and catering operations will give you an edge. Understanding of food safety standards and proper hygiene practices is essential for maintaining a safe kitchen environment. Ability to stand for extended periods, work efficiently under pressure, and follow detailed instructions accurately. A proactive attitude with excellent teamwork skills to support a collaborative kitchen atmosphere.
