We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. Duties

Assist in meal preparation by chopping vegetables, preparing ingredients, and assembling dishes as directed by the head cook or chef. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the kitchen, ensuring compliance with health regulations. Help with the cleaning and organisation of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas to promote a tidy workspace. Support the cooking staff during service by preparing garnishes, sauces, and other components as needed. Assist with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting any shortages to management. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow during busy periods and contribute positively to a harmonious kitchen environment.

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen setting is advantageous but not essential; enthusiasm for food preparation and willingness to learn are key attributes. Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations is preferred. A background in restaurant or catering environments will be beneficial for understanding the fast-paced nature of the role. Basic culinary skills will be an asset, including knowledge of meal preparation techniques and ingredient handling.
