Duties
Assist in the preparation of meals, ensuring high standards of food safety and hygiene are maintained at all times.
Support chefs with the cooking process, including chopping, mixing, and cooking ingredients as directed.
Help with the organisation and cleanliness of the kitchen, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.
Participate in catering events as needed, assisting with food setup and service.
Maintain an inventory of kitchen supplies and report any shortages to the head chef.
Ensure that all equipment is cleaned and stored correctly after use.
Experience
Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is key.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and culinary techniques will be advantageous.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Excellent teamwork skills, with a positive attitude towards helping others in the kitchen.
A genuine interest in food preparation and catering services is highly desirable.
Pay: 11.86-12.79 per hour
Expected hours: 10 per week
