Everyday Catering is a private food company. We provide fresh home made meals 7 days a week, 365 days a year. We specialise in Afro Caribbean meals, but offer a variety of cuisines throughout the week. Our successful production of hearty delicious meals is only possible because of our diligent and dedicated team. Our newest team member needs to be well equipped to adapt to our strong team of individuals.

WE ARE HIRING A KIITCHEN ASSISTANT



- Shift patterns are 8am - 2pm (LATENESS WILL NOT BE TOLERATED)

Shifts may vary depending on workload

- Role starting July

- Based in South London, ideally candidates commute won't be longer than 45minutes

- Must be available 2 days a week

Tasks include but are not limited to:



Assist in the preparation of meals and ingredients according to established recipes and standards. Assist head chef with slicing, chopping & marinating food upon request Follow instructions from head chef and senior kitchen staff Help maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils. Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations and productive team work Assist with lifting heavy stock

Skills



Previous experience in a kitchen or general hospitality environment is necessary. Basic cooking skills with a passion for food preparation and culinary techniques is preferred but not a necessity. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is highly desirable. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude. Flexibility to assist with various kitchen tasks as needed, including catering services.

This role is a permanent role. Probationary period of 3 months.



Requirements:



A passion for food and a positive attitude towards kitchen duties.

18+

NI number

Level 2 food hygiene certificate (Or willing to obtain for the role)

Can commute to SW16, South London

Hospitality experience is preferred

Customer service experience is preferred

Kitchen porter/ assistant & food handling experience is preferred but not essential

Basic knowledge of culinary techniques and food handling procedures.

Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions from senior kitchen staff.

Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to tasks.

Willingness to learn and develop culinary skills on the job.

General cleaning & housekeeping

Cross checking orders/ dietary requirements before packing

Job Types: Part-time, Temp to perm
Contract length: 2 months

Pay: From 14.50 per hour

Expected hours: 6 - 18 per week
