Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and support our chefs in delivering high-quality meals. This role is perfect for individuals looking to gain experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment, whether in a restaurant, catering service, or other culinary settings. Duties - Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients. - Help maintain a clean and organised kitchen by washing dishes, sanitising surfaces, and disposing of waste appropriately. - Support chefs during meal preparation by following instructions and ensuring timely delivery of dishes. - Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene standards to ensure the safety of all food products. - Assist in the setup and breakdown of catering events as required. - Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations and a positive working environment. Qualifications - Previous experience in a kitchen or culinary environment is advantageous but not essential. - Basic knowledge of food safety practices and meal preparation techniques is preferred. - Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly with colleagues. - Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. - A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new skills within the culinary field. - Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including evenings and weekends.
