Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced hospitality environment. The Kitchen Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the kitchen staff by ensuring that the kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about food preparation and have an interest in the culinary arts, whether in a restaurant, hotel, or catering setting.

Duties

Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by chefs and kitchen staff. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots, and utensils. Ensure that all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use. Help with the delivery and storage of food supplies and ingredients. Support chefs during busy service periods by providing assistance where needed. Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Assist with waste management and recycling efforts within the kitchen.

Requirements

Previous experience in a hospitality or kitchen environment is preferred but not essential. A keen interest in food preparation and culinary practices. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail. Excellent teamwork skills with a willingness to help others in the kitchen. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.

Pay: From 12.21 per hour
