We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality meals and maintaining a clean, organised kitchen environment. The successful candidate will play a vital part in meal preparation and ensuring smooth kitchen operations.
Duties
Assist with meal preparation and food presentation in line with established recipes and standards
Support the catering team during events and daily service
Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping, and organising supplies
Maintain cleanliness of work surfaces, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations
Help with serving meals to customers or guests as required
Restock supplies and ensure the kitchen remains organised throughout shifts
Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to uphold hygiene standards
Assist with inventory checks and stock rotation to minimise waste
Experience
Previous experience in a catering, restaurant, or kitchen environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
Familiarity with food preparation, cooking, and meal assembly processes
Knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards within a professional kitchen setting
Experience in serving or front-of-house roles is advantageous but not mandatory
Enthusiasm for learning culinary techniques and developing kitchen skills
