We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality meal services. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing their skills within a dynamic food service environment. The Kitchen Assistant will be responsible for assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring smooth kitchen operations in accordance with food safety standards. Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.
Responsibilities
Assist with meal and food preparation, including chopping, assembling, and portioning ingredients
Support chefs and kitchen staff in daily operations to ensure timely service
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen work areas, utensils, and equipment
Follow food safety and hygiene regulations diligently to uphold health standards
Help with the storage and organisation of ingredients and supplies
Serve meals to customers or staff as required, ensuring presentation standards are met
Support with inventory management and stock replenishment when needed
Requirements
Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is advantageous but not mandatory
Knowledge of food safety protocols and hygiene standards
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Good organisational skills and attention to detail
Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to various kitchen tasks
Strong team player with excellent communication skills
Flexibility to work shifts as required, including weekends or evenings if necessary
