We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of the kitchen environment, supporting chefs and kitchen staff in food preparation, and ensuring that all kitchen operations run smoothly. Duties

Assist in food preparation tasks as directed by chefs, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen by washing dishes, pots, pans, and utensils promptly after use. Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored correctly after use. Support the chefs during service by preparing ingredients and assisting with cooking when required. Keep the kitchen area tidy and organised, including sweeping and mopping floors as necessary. Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages to the kitchen supervisor. Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

Skills

Previous experience in a restaurant Basic food preparation skills and knowledge of cooking techniques are advantageous. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards hospitality and service. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of cleanliness. A willingness to learn and adapt within a fast-paced culinary setting.
