Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team at DAN PHO. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and support the overall operations of our kitchen. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the delivery of high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

- Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking and meal assembly.
- Support chefs with catering tasks, ensuring all food items are prepared according to specifications.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitising surfaces.
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure all meals are prepared safely and hygienically.
- Help with meal preparation for events and daily service, including portioning and plating dishes.
- Assist in inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages to the head chef.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not a must; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques is an advantage.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new skills related to food preparation and catering.
