We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality food services. This role involves assisting with meal and food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for catering, cooking, and food safety, with previous experience in a restaurant or similar setting preferred. Duties

Assist in meal preparation and food presentation to meet quality standards Support chefs with ingredient organisation and inventory management Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning as required Maintain cleanliness of work surfaces, utensils, and kitchen equipment in accordance with food safety regulations Help with serving food during meal times and ensure timely delivery to customers or dining areas Follow health and safety guidelines to uphold hygiene standards at all times Assist in setting up and clearing down the kitchen area after service periods Support the team during catering events or special functions as needed

Requirements

Prior experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is highly desirable Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen safety protocols Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment Good organisational skills and attention to detail Willingness to learn new culinary skills and adapt to team needs Basic understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices Strong communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork Previous experience with meal preparation, serving, or general kitchen duties is advantageous
We do not open on Sundays.
