Responsibilities
To undertake a range of portering and cleaning tasks at the direction of the Duty Chef
To undertake a range of food preparation tasks at the direction of the Duty Chef
To assist the Duty Chef in preparation of meals for service
To assist with maintaining all necessary hygiene in respect of food service operations
Cleaning, setting up & operating the dishwasher, ensuring it has sufficient chemicals for the day's operation
Washing/drying crockery, cutlery, kitchen utensils, cooking equipment, etc. to a high standard
Returning all cleaned items to their designated storage location ready for re-use
Cleaning the pot wash station & immediate surround
Sweeping & mopping the pot wash floor & surrounding area
Removing & disposing of pot wash food & other associated waste
Communicating with senior staff over pot wash supplies & chemicals to ensure there are always sufficient supplies for ongoing operation
THE ROLE

Carries a minimum 3-month probationary period

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Must be a minimum 16 years of age
Must have great organisational skills, be reliable, a good timekeeper, a team player, the ability to work under their own initiative & have pride in their work
