Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation and meal assembly in accordance with established recipes and standards Support the catering team during events and daily service periods Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly followed Maintain cleanliness of work surfaces, utensils, and kitchen equipment Organise ingredients and supplies to ensure smooth kitchen operations Serve meals to customers or staff as required, ensuring presentation standards are met Help with stock rotation and inventory management to minimise waste Support the broader kitchen team in various tasks to ensure efficient service delivery

Qualifications

Previous experience in a catering, care home, or kitchen environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided Knowledge of food safety standards and practices Basic cooking and meal preparation skills Good organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure Strong team player with excellent communication skills Enthusiastic attitude towards learning new culinary techniques and procedures Ability to follow instructions carefully and maintain high standards of hygiene and safety
