We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistants to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a desire to learn within a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role is essential in supporting with food preparation, ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently. Duties

Assist in the preparation of meals and ingredients, including chopping, slicing, and dicing vegetables and proteins. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring all areas are tidy and hygienic. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the highest standards of hygiene are met. Help with the setup and breakdown of catering events as required. Support cooks during service by preparing garnishes, sauces, and other accompaniments. Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, adhering to all safety protocols. Assist with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant or catering environment is advantageous but not essential. Knowledge of food safety practices is highly desirable. A keen interest in culinary arts and meal preparation. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy kitchen setting. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail. Willingness to learn new skills and techniques within the kitchen. Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.

Pay: 11.50 per hour
