Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of ingredients for various dishes, ensuring all items are ready for cooking. Support the chef in the kitchen by following instructions and completing tasks as assigned. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste properly. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high hygiene standards at all times. Help with catering events by preparing food items and setting up serving areas as needed. Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure timely meal service.

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is key. Basic knowledge of culinary techniques and meal preparation processes. Understanding of food safety practices and hygiene regulations. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the kitchen schedule.
