Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen operations, ensuring that food preparation and service run smoothly. Responsibilities

Assist in meal preparation and cooking under the guidance of chefs Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, and measuring as required Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including utensils and equipment Ensure compliance with food safety standards and hygiene regulations Communicate with front of house staff regarding stock levels Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during busy periods Assist with inventory management, including receiving and storing deliveries

Experience

Previous experience in a commercial kitchen environment is preferred Familiarity with food preparation techniques and culinary practices Understanding of food safety guidelines and best practices Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a high-pressure setting Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
